Principals Desk
When I was asked to shoulder the responsibility to lead the staff and students and to animate the activities of the school in 2001, I was not sure I would be able to accomplish the targets expected of me.
I was just 29 and had only a few years of experience in teaching. It was the strong and reassuring encouragement and support from our Administrator and Director, Mrs.Chandrika Shah that helped me to sail through the trials and tribulations and steer this great institution to the present position.
At Sweet Memories, our aim is to help the students to acquire the skills, the attitude and the disposition that will not only help them to live well but also make them useful citizens of the world. We would like to see every student turn into or grow into a good as well as smart individual.
For this we have taken an approach based on the concept of developing the capabilities of young individuals to achieve a balance between rational and emotional, between humanism and science and between personal liberty and social obligation. To achieve such a balance, one should develop spiritual qualities of silence and peace. Our day begins with dawn meditation for all students. It has given each child an increased sense of responsibility and created a more harmonious atmosphere in the campus.
I am happy and proud of my staff and students while mentioning that we have achieved 100% result in CBSE and HSC both board Examinations .
Though achieving academic excellence is our main objective, it was not accomplished by neglecting the physical development. Our cricket, volleyball and table tennis teams have won much interschool and district level recognition. The epitome of our success was achieved when one of our students, Master Kishan Shial has been selected for the state level table tennis. The school is always committed to social service and to our duty towards local communities. We have donate stationary, benches and uniforms to the various village schools around Panchgani.
I have been greatly indebted to all our trustees and Managing Trustee, who has always been a very kind and guiding strength for me and our Administrator – Director Mrs. Chandrika Shah without whom it was impossible to achieve the objectives and reach the desired destination. I have always been very lucky to have very devoted and sincere members of staff who are the real force behind every accomplishment. I am sure, with the combined endeavor and the blessings of God Almighty, Sweet Memories will celebrate many jubilees.
